Beautiful views of the ocean can be enjoyed from almost every room of this vacation beach house, Idle Time. It is located on the ocean in West Yarmouth.
Downstairs, there is a smaller bedroom with a twin bed, TV and a full bathroom adjacent to the bedroom. The livingroom/diningroom has a fieldstone fireplace with flat screen TV. French doors open up to a sitting room with wicker furniture to relax in and enjoy the magnificent ocean views, and has another queen bed. The comfortable kitchen is fully equipped. It has stainless steel appliances which include washer/dryer, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator, and stove.
A few winters ago, we installed a new second floor with 2 large bedrooms with queen beds,and 2 bathrooms. The master bedroom has a separate bathroom, and has a viewing deck to enjoy wonderful views. The second bedroom also has access to the viewing deck. There is another room with a desk and another TV to watch a movie or to catch up on work. There is High speed Internet and Wi Fi for your convenience, outdoor shower, a gas grill, central air conditioning all with lots of charm in the Cape Cod tradition.
Shopping, restaurants, golf, and beaches are all located minutes away. Ferries to Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard and Cape Cod Airport are located within three miles. |

We have been coming to Idle Time for 16 years and have become friends with Terri and Ed. Great hosts and an amazing house with spectacular views. Very comfortable house and you can sit in the sunroom and relax and read. The views are beautiful. So much to do, so little time. Thanks you for our years of memories.
First trip to Cape Cod and enjoyed everything about it. Staying at Idle Time is a treat. Beautiful area and beautiful house with a perfect Cape Cod view! Location of home is perfect as it is about Mid Cape and close to everything in any direction - including ferries and whale watching. Owners are very nice and helpful. I really can’t imagine a better base for a Cape Cod vacation!
This is my 9th or 10th year at Idle Time and I love it more every year! The view from the rear decks are incredible and the Mid-Cape location is just perfect. Terri and Ed are the best owners and friends anyone could ask for. Looking forward to next year's visit already.
Once again the Jersey crew spent an amazing winter weekend at Idle Time in Feb. 2014. We cannot rave enough about this perfectly situated, peaceful sanctuary that melts away all the stress and tensions one may have accumulated over time. We choose to visit Idle Time in November and February for the past 14 or 1 5 years. I fell in love with the house from this website just from the pictures alone back years ago. Over these years we've developed a wonderful friendship with Terri and Ed, which we treasure. Don't waste a second thought about visiting the Cape and blissfully relaxing at Idle Time, a wonderful place to stay regardless of what time of the year you grace the Cape.
