Ideally located central to the best of Mystic attractions! An easy walk of less than 1/10 of a mile is the North entrance to the Mystic Seaport Museum, Latitude 41 restaurant, and Shipyard Tavern.
Less than a mile in one direction is the Mystic Marine Life Aquarium, and the numerous shops/ restaurants of Olde Mystic Village. A mile the other direction (south) you will find yourself at the historic drawbridge in the heart of downtown Mystic. Ideal for couples, singles, couples with a child.
Although we are so close to all the attractions, our place is in a remarkably quiet area given our proximity to all the activity. We are set back several lots on a side street off the main drag.
From our front yard, you are looking down at the scenic Mystic River, and in a few steps you can cross the street and enjoy an ice cream stand or iconic snack shop with picnic tables set right on the water.
Your hosts, John and Robin are lifelong travelers for work and pleasure and know exactly what is required for the perfect vacation stay. We provide all the extra touches: luxury linens, coffee K cups, snacks, bottled water and occasionally…a surprise libation!
There is one queen bed, and the couch turns into a sleeper very easily. The sleeper would be great for a child, but is actually comfortable enough and intended for an adult to have a good night sleep.
A well equipped kitchenette allows the option of dining in as much as you like. At the very least help yourself to a morning coffee/breakfast to start your day!
High speed Xfinity WIFI and cable TV. In addition to cable, the smart TV has the usual apps, so you are welcome to sign into any you subscribe to.
Should a more formal engagement bring you to town, such as business or a wedding we have you covered with plenty of closet and hanging space. As well as a full-length mirror in the bathroom, and ironing gear.
We welcome respectful guests from all backgrounds and diversity. Mystic is a beautiful, accepting, and peaceful place. We do not however accept reservations from any guest with negative feedback from another host.
The studio apartment which is the lower level of our split level home. The studio has a private entrance and is completely for guests. The entry is through secure digital key pad doors through the overhead garage doors and interior entry door all on ground level with no stairs.
Guest are welcome to use the driveway for parking. Pull right up to the garage door, enter a code for the overhead door, then enter another code on the interior entry door into the studio. All very secure and convenient. Automatic exterior lights come on with motion.
With exception of the deck, the upper level of the home access is by host invite only to guests as it is occupied by a quiet retiree who is actually an 84 year resident of Mystic! And, born in a home that is now part of the Mystic Seaport Museum.
Lovely to talk with should you wish to have a conversation with a true local who has welcomed many a visitor to Mystic as the proprietor of a popular gift shop and religious store located in the shops at Olde Mystick Village for many years.
The space has guest controlled central heat, window air conditioner, and screen windows for the beautiful in between days with the Mystic shoreline breezes.
Guest also may feel free to use the large outdoor deck for relaxing, dining, or sipping a drink day or evening. Just remember we live in a quiet neighborhood and need to keep it that way!

A clean and lovely little studio just one block away from the water and a short drive from downtown Mystic. We very much enjoyed our stay here!
This home is perfect for a couple and can accommodate a couple of children as well. Very clean. Quiet and safe neighborhood. Convenient parking. Great location. Walking distance from river and Mystic (about one mile).
Totally charming with a great host. I had several suggestions to make the stay more enjoyable: giving the password for Wi-Fi, having a step stool to reach things in the closet, an alarm clock, extra batteries for the flashlight, UB port, paper and pen, all of which I think they will or did follow up on. Many extra's were provided such as soda, juice ,snacks and toiletries. The place is very neat and clean and the parking is great. I am hoping to go back next year!
