Beautiful, spacious cabin located on the scenic Wisconsin River. Enjoy nature with all of the conveniences of home. Stunning 180 degree water views from the home and deck. Our home is located just above Lake Wisconsin and is accessible by boat from Lake Wisconsin. We have a 20 foot dock for fishing and enjoying the view or bring your boat. The boat launch is just 1/2 mile down the road. Enjoy boating down river to Lake Wisconsin or to the sand bar islands with sandy beaches for all day fun and relaxation (sand toys provided). There is a fire pit for night bonfires, grill for barbecuing and screened gazebo for relaxing.

Inside you will find a 2 story vaulted open great room with spacious dining room and full kitchen with 10 foot island. Knotty pine walls, full brick wall fireplace and rustic cabin decor. There are 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms( one full and one 1/2 bath). The master bedroom has a King sized bed with bathroom access. Second bedroom has a queen and twin bed with bathroom access. The 3rd loft bedroom overlooking the great room and river has 2 twin beds. There is also a queen size futon. Linens provided. Just grab your beach towel and come.

Enjoy our beautiful waterfront location or explore our local attractions. Located nearby fun filled Wisconsin Dells (30 minutes) with world class Water parks and attractions. Enjoy a Gambling excursion at Ho Chunk Casino (25 minutes). Hike and take in the breathtaking scenery at Devil Lake's State park (30 minutes). Visit the International Crane foundation Crane Foundation that houses every species of Crane ( 25 minutes). Rent Canoes or Kayaks at T & G Canoe (608-742-2349) and they will pick you up and take you up river and you can paddle back to the cabin.

The cabin is in walking distance to the "River Stop" convenience store which has gas, food, beverages, ice, live bait and fishing licenses etc. Right down the road is Hookers Restaurant & Bar with great grill your own steaks and Live music almost every weekend.

We live in DeForest, WI (suburb of Madison). We discovered Lake Wisconsin and the Wisconsin River in 2002. We would trailer our boat to the lake and go up river where all the beautiful views, wildlife and sandbars are. When we spotted this home from the river we were taken in by the breathtaking views and great location. we purchased the cabin in 2004. We love it and our families love it. It feels like a vacation every time we visit.
The house offered an incredible view! It was clean and comfortable. Size was perfect and plenty of space for 6 adults and 3 cars. The house had all the necessities we needed. Everyone in the group had an awesome time. We wished we could have stayed longer. We ate at Hookers down the road. Good food. Sunday morning they offered breakfast. Only 2 choices on the menu but both tasted great at a great price. The french toast and bacon was fantastic and it was only $3.00. The owners were good to work with and returned the security deposit within the week of departure. We would definitely recommend this place to others.
This home was very comfortable, well-equipped, beautifully decorated and had a marvelous view! The kitchen (with its large island), dining room (with its large table) and living rooms were very open, so we could all cook and eat and relax together easily. We had 4 adults and 4 kids and we had plenty of space. We enjoyed the river immensely, but were glad to have brought our boat to get to the island beaches for swimming. I imagine the landscape along the river changes every year and when we visited there were no beaches nearby to wade to. We also rented kayaks and loved exploring the islands and wildlife downriver. There were parts of the river that were wide/deep enough to go tubing and water skiing. We enjoyed several playgrounds and a nice beach for little kids that we could drive to. Grandpa and the kids baited hooks down at the dock in the evening and early morning and just watched the poles from the big living room window! Easy and enjoyable day trips included Devil's Lake State Park with its hiking, bouldering, swimming etc and Wisconsin Dells with its waterparks, jet boat tours, mini golf etc. The owners were friendly and helpful and I would definitely recommend this rental! Oh and there was a pack-n-play and a booster chair already there...I should not have bothered packing ours!
I'm keeping this review short and sweet. The place was perfect in all aspects. Location was great and easy to get to. Size was perfect and plenty of space for our 7 adults and 3 cars. Living space was also great and allowed everyone to get comfortable and enjoy dinner together. The firepit was great even though it rained for 2 nights and didn't get full use of it. The dock was nice to fish off of. The house had all the necessities we needed to cook all of our meals. Everyone in the group had an awesome time and we would go there again. The owners are top notch and were available to answer any questions and concerns we had. Lately, don't forget to get up early to catch the hummingbirds by the living room window.
All the comforts of home in this cabin in the woods on the river. Beautiful view through the wall of windows in the den. You can't help but relax in front of the cozy fireplace enjoying the view and feeling you are right out in nature at the same time. Comfortable beds, appliances (washer, dryer, dishwasher, etc.) and plenty of room for a large group. A nice open concept kitchen/dining/den so a group can spread out but all be together at the same time. Large river access yard with fire pit for roasting marshmallows and a floating dock for fishing and boating. A nice resort/bar/restaurant right up the road within walking distance. Our group of 7 thoroughly enjoyed it all and we hope to stay here again on our next Wisconsin visit.
The House: It was clean, tidy and had all the appliances you could need. Beds were clean and very comfortable. Décor flawlessly complimented the surroundings. The view from great room can't be beat. Deck outside was MADE for a morning cup of coffee. The river was absolutely beautiful, whether relaxing during the day on the dock or as a backdrop to a bonfire at night. Just a short wade across the river to an island with a beach on the other side...very cool. Great pub down the road (walking distance) for dinner/drinks. The Owners: Their description of the house was spot on. They were friendly, helpful and very accommodating. Security deposit was returned within 10 days. It was a pleasure dealing with them. Overall: Could not have imagined a more perfect place to relax. Thanks SO much!
