Description

Our Bayfront hideaway cottage is located in the middle Keys on a small island called 'Conch Key', and offers some of the best sailing in the Gulf anywhere in the Keys.  Our guests have exclusive use of 23', well maintained, ComPac sailboats, for the duration of their stay. The island is the smallest island in the Keys. It is reminiscent of a quaint Bahamian lobster fishing village, with colorful cottages nestled closely together. Rustic wharves are charmingly cluttered with lobster traps, nets, and fishing gear. There is a well kept secret that lobster and fish are both plentiful. Back country fishing and off shore sport fishing are readily available.
 
Our ideal location near Marathon, in the middle Keys, will allow you to visit both Key West and Key Largo, each approximately one hour away. Additionally, we offer dock space with water and electricity for our guests wanting to bring their own boat  for some of the best fishing in the world.  Impeccably clean, comfortable, and beautifully decorated.

We purchased this spectacular property from the original owners, Tom and Peggy Horachek, who developed this unique vacation concept, in a great Keys location.

This Middle Keys bay front cottage include the exclusive use of a 23' sailboat, kayaks, and bicycles for no additional charge.  Additionally, we offer launching, trailer storage and docking space for guests wanting to bring their own boat for some fabulous Keys fishing.  A great location for a family reunion, a destination wedding or a retreat for any reason.
 
What makes this cottage unique
Conch Key is located conveniently in the middle islands, only 63 miles to Key West. Qualified sailors can day sail the protected waters of the Gulf of Mexico, at their leisure, no need to reserve time. Bicycle (or walk/jog) across Henry Flaglers old railroad bridge . Visit the nature trails of Long Key State Park, swim with the dolphins at the Dolphin Research Center nearby, or just sit under the coconut trees and enjoy the island life.

The perfect getaway!

This was truly a once in a lifetime experience taking our family to the Keys. Barry and Tammy's place was the perfect fit for our family with its location and built in amenities. Our boys fished off the dock every free second that had. All of my kids enjoyed snorkeling in the bay as well. We were even lucky enough to see a Manatee on our last day there. Barry was so kind as to teach us how to use the sail boat and we enjoyed taking that out into the Gulf. When our flights got changed and we needed to switch one of our days, they were so gracious to allow us to change our reservation slightly. We would absolutely stay here again!!

We really enjoyed the weekend at Conch Key. House is a typical Keys house, great location and has everything you need. Kayaks were great to use on the dock and explore with the kids. Will definitely be back!
