Description

Private home located in New Town available for 4 week minimum rental. Beautifully landscaped yard with secure private back yard and pool. Use of bicycles provides flexible transportation all over the island. The home features a modern kitchen with all appliances and granite counter top. The master suite opens onto the pool deck and is furnished with a king size bed and walk-in closet, a private bath with a large shower. Another bedroom also opens to the pool deck area and is furnished with a queen size bed. The third bedroom has two twin beds. A second bathroom serves the guest bedrooms. Two walls of the living room have sliding doors that open completely onto the pool area.

About the Owner

George and Jill live in rural NH and are both retired. George from retail food sales and real estate and Jill from public education administration. They have three grown daughters and five grandchildren.

Why George Edson chose New Town
We had vacationed in Key West several times and decided to purchase a home here in 2008. We looked at 20 houses but couldn't get this one out of our minds. The open access to the backyard and pool just made this home special.  We spend January through March here each year.
 
What makes this House unique
Privacy of a single home, open walls to private pool, 4 passenger electric car and a number of bicycles. This is truly a best buy in rentals. Value, value, value!

What a lovely stay - I heartily recommend and hope that I will be back in the future. The house was great, but I think the pool was my favorite place to be! Really enjoyed the owners’ thoughtful attention to detail, especially their thorough “operating instructions”, and the reading material in the house like local guidebooks and locally written novels.Beautifully maintained, quiet neighborhood to relax in, and the electric car will zip you downtown when you’re ready for some excitement! Couldn’t have been better for my first visit to Key West.

My family and I had the best time staying at the Edsons' place, and the other reviewer is quite right - the pictures do not do it justice. Jill and her family could not be better hosts and have provided you with everything you could possibly need for a stay in Key West. We loved navigating the island in the electric car provided and spending our mornings relaxing by the beautiful pool in the landscaped garden. Of course we enjoyed some wonderful nights on Duval but also loved our family evenings playing the many board games provided. The house is really lovely and very spacious and I would be surprised if you could find anything remotely as good for the price. We are all missing it already and hope to return soon. Thank you Jill and Abigail.

This house is amazing. The pictures don't do it justice. It truly offers all the amenities of a home. The house also includes a Gem car which makes it convenient for navigating around the island.
