Birdwatcher's retreat. Beautiful home in woodland setting next to a nature preserve. Sleeps 6. Three bedrooms: Master Suite with queen size bed , second bedroom with full size bed, third bedroom with two twin sized beds. Two baths. Back patio and a sun room off the kitchen. Utility room with washer/dryer. Wireless internet. Wood burning fireplace. Central a/c in kitchen, sun room and living room. All bedrooms conveniently have individual remote-controlled mini-split a/c wall-mounted units with a quiet mode setting. Nature center with trails is within a 10 minute walk. Sunday Farmer's Market is within a 5 minute walk (closed winters). Historic downtown Mystic and Olde Mystic Village 1 mile. Stonington Borough (village), 2 miles. Casinos and Rhode Island beaches within 30 minute drive. Roger Williams Zoo and Children's Museum (RI) within a 45 minute drive. We regularly maintain and update our home. We are very children friendly. Our house welcomes you! We are proud to be able to say that "Rockport Marine" (Maine boat builders and restorers) were guests at our house during the 2017 Mystic Seaport Wooden Boat Show, and their boat "Sunshine" took first place for power boats in the commercial-built class. Congratulations Rockport Marine! We also had a family from France who came this summer for a family reunion on Mason's Island. The children had a lemonade stand at their grandmother's house and raised $212, which they donated to the nearby Nature Center on behalf of our grandfather, John H. Goodman. We were so touched and grateful. Thank you to all of our guests for enjoying our home as much as we do. |

We enjoyed 5 days at this lovely home with our young son. The location is peaceful and homey. We enjoyed breakfast several mornings in the sunroom, watching the birds feed. The house is within close proximity to so many attractions in the area - downtown Mystic, Old Mystic Village, the Aquarium, restaurants, retail, and more. We highly recommend it to anyone considering a stay in the Mystic area, you won't be disappointed, I promise you!
The house was cute and very clean. We were only 5 minutes from Mystic Seaport and Mystic Aquarium, but in a quiet country location. Our family of 6, grandparents, children and grandchildren (ages 11 and 14) really enjoyed out stay here. It was the perfect house for us.
You walk in and feel like you have come home. Enjoy your coffee out on the patio, or with friends/family in the breakfast nook. See the sights, eat great food and come back to good beds and pillows. We had a great time.
We recently stayed at this house for three nights while attending family wedding festivities nearby. It was just the right size and price, clean and well appointed for our needs. We did not spend a lot of time at the house but it was a great place to lay our heads.
The house was very clean, comfortable and the perfect size for 2 adults plus 3 teenagers. We were able to easily take day trips to Boston and Newport as well as enjoying Mystic and the nearby beaches. We would definitely recommend this home.
