Description

The Sonoran Sun Resort in Puerto Penasco, Mexico (Rocky Point in English) is an ocean front resort sitting on beautiful Sandy Beach at the very top of the Sea of Cortez. Our Condo, "Perca Conejito", sits on the seventh floor looking southwest over the Sea of Cortez.

Rocky Point is a laid back beach front village with activities for all ages including loafing on the beach (my favorite), golfing, and riding through the desert on ATV's. The Sea is calm. All age groups can enjoy the water. Night life caters to all groups pleasant quiet restaurants to raucous rock-n-roll bars.

Perca Conejito is equipped to house six with two bedrooms, two full bathrooms, and a large shaded deck. Six sleep comfortably. King size beds are in the bedrooms. The couch opens to a queen size bed. There are televisions in every room serviced by DIRECT TV including the football package for avid fans!

We finished a significant renovation. The living room furniture is new. The hideaway couch bed has a foam (think mini-Tempur-Pedic) mattress. I tried it. It is very comfortable. The tired, soiled drapes are replaced by cellular blinds. Individual blinds allow for selective viewing a clear field of view. While no one notices, the very ugly curly cue lights in the ceiling fixtures are gone. LED floods replaced them.

Three are new platform beds with memory foam mattresses. You may even return home rested.

Kitchen is updated with stainless steel appliances and the necessities for dining in. There is a small electric barbecue on the deck for shrimp and steak.

The internet connection router is dual band 1.75Gbps total available bandwidth to support multiple devices.

This Condo is our home away from home. It is equipped for comfortable living.

Several restaurants can be reached by walking along the beach. To the West (right) is Wrecked at the Reef and Mare Blu. Mare Blu is Italian and Mexican considered to be one of the best restaurants in Rocky Point. To the East (left) is Changos.

NOTE: Sandy Beach faces south not west as one would expect. Facing the Sea, the sun rises to the left and sets to the right. One benefit is that you are not looking into the afternoon sun while on the beach.

SAFETY:

A reverse osmosis unit installed in the kitchen purifies water for drinking. The hot water heating tank has been replaced by an instant hot box in the utilities closet.

Smoke detectors are installed in the laundry and kitchen.

I am a persistent entrepreneur commercializing a technology for treating heart failure over the web. My wife, Carole is a retired pre-school teacher known affectionately by hundreds of students as "Miss Carole". We are grandparents of boys and girls in the lower grades and high school.
