Most Smoky Mountain cabins don’t have an indoor, in-ground pool—but then again, Mountain Splash isn’t your typical cabin. Along with the private pool, this 2-bedroom home includes an outdoor hot tub, a gas fire pit, a spacious master suite, and luxurious details such as a stacked-stone fireplace and a custom shower.
Mountain Splash is set within Alpine Mountain Village, a quiet, family-friendly resort that’s just a half-mile—walking distance!—to the restaurants, shops, and attractions of the Pigeon Forge Parkway. As soon as you drive into the resort, you’ll be delighted by the waterfall at the entryway, the walking trails alongside streams, and the peaceful wooded setting. You can savor the surroundings from the cabin’s spacious deck, either while kicking back in a chair or basking in the steamy waters of the hot tub. On cooler nights, you can gaze up at the twinkling stars while enjoying a nightcap by the fire pit—simply magical!
The resort has a pool that’s open during the summer—but Mountain Splash goes one better: Its lower level includes a private pool you can enjoy year-round. Surrounded by stacked-stone walls with a view of the woodlands beyond the deck, the pool has wide steps for easy access so that everyone can take advantage of this pampering perk.
Also downstairs is the game room, featuring a full-size billiard table, Buck Hunter Arcade, and a flat-screen TV. Even if bad weather keeps you cabin-bound, you’ll have plenty of ways to entertain yourself!
Up one flight is the main level, designed with both comfort and style in mind. The double-height ceiling and the bevy of windows keep the ambiance open, light, and airy. The living area sofa invites you to gather with family and friends in the glow of the gas fireplace to watch a movie on the flat-panel TV or play Scrabble at the coffee table. The dining table, which seats 4 and looks out among the towering trees, is another great place to set up the Monopoly board—when you’re not dining, that is. And though Mountain Splash is close to scores of restaurants (on the parkway alone you can choose from barbecue, seafood, Cuban, Italian, Mexican, and more), once you see the kitchen you might want to do some cooking yourself. With gleaming stainless-steel appliances, sparkling counters, a butler sink, and plenty of cookware, it’s fully equipped to handle just about anything you want to cook. There’s even a breakfast bar where up to 4 sous chefs can sit and help with food prep.
The main floor’s bedroom includes a king-size bed and a flat-panel TV, accouterments that would make it the master bedroom in just about any other cabin. But as well appointed and welcoming as this bedroom is, the suite one flight up is a true showstopper. Taking up the entire loft, it offers exceptional privacy. And it offers exceptional luxury too, with its own king-size bed and flat-screen TV, a double-sided gas fireplace, and a custom shower that will have you looking forward to springing out of bed to use it—it’s that’s spectacular!
Even with all these luxuries and comforts, Mountain Splash’s greatest amenity might be its location. You can get to everything from Dollywood to the Titanic Museum, or golf to outlet shopping, in just 15 minutes. Only slightly farther afield is the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, a true must-visit, which you can explore on foot, on a bike, on horseback, or by car. Also nearby are Ober Gatlinburg Amusement Park/Ski Area and the Gatlinburg Arts and Crafts Loop, a trail of more than 100 studios, galleries, and shops.
However you spend your days, you’ll love returning to the five-star delights of Mountain Splash. Don’t take our word for it; book your stay today, and experience it for yourself! |
Everything was great. Could use a step to the hot tub. We had a great time. Thank you!
This cabin is just as amazing in person as it is online. We enjoyed every minute of our stay. This location is perfect and the cabin has everything you need. Only a couple of suggestions that will make an already awesome cabin even better. I'd recommend some additional outdoor seating on the deck off the living room, and some lounge chairs by the hot tub. Also, with the cabin being built next door either blinds to the shower or mirrored windows. We would stay here again even without those additions. I hope everyone enjoys this cabin as much as we did.
We all had a great time! The cabin is a newer construction and the end of the street. There is another cabin currently being built next to to this, which would be great for multiple family/friend/wedding party vacations. Aside of the new cabin being built, this cabin is away from other cabins and private. We've stayed in another cabin in Alpine Mountain Village on another trip, as well. This is a GREAT area and easy to access, being that it is just a quick hop off stoplight #1 in Pigeon Forge. So close to everything and convenient! The cabin was very clean, however being that it is so new, we did sweep saw dust out of the kitchen (and wipe countertops and stove) every morning after anyone walked around upstairs. So, it was clean dust! lol Seriously, I am a neat freak and this place was clean, aside of the sawdust. The pool and hot tub were very well kept and clean. My little grandson had a blast. The pool is the perfect size and relaxing. We could not figure out how to activate the waterfall feature (no switch), so perhaps it was not completed yet. This hot tub...THIS HOT TUB... crazy powerful jets!! I had an injury the morning we left for the trip and this hot tub sure healed that quickly. I would suggest that you bring some bath towels from home. There are towels available, but not many and they are rather thin, rough and small. Not complaining, at all...just saying that if you like a good plush towel, bring it with you! There were not any kitchen towels, luckily I had that packed. Could have very well been an oversight when restocking after the last guests, as there were pot holders available. Also, bring a can opener. We could not find one, but we found a wine bottle opener... priorities! lol Only other suggestion, bring a good skillet and a large stock pot , if you plan on doing much cooking. We were doing pasta and had to do it in a couple batches since there was not a stock pot or larger pan. I suggest bringing a good skillet from home ( there is one, but uneven bottom and thin), as well. These are not complaints, as I appreciate the items that were available, just a heads up for anyone coming here to be prepared in advance. The weather was quite warm while we were staying and the cabin stayed nice and cool! That is a major plus, especially with all of the windows. No matter what the time of day, we were cool and comfortable! Great cabin & great location! We will be back!
Overall we had a great time visiting Pigeon Forge. When driving up to Mountain Splash there was a large dumpster and various building materials adjacent to the cabin (along with a port a potty). This was concerning, but luckily no construction took place during our visit. The inside of Mountain Splash was perfect for our family of 5. There was so much to do and plenty of room to hang out and swim. The furniture and decorations were new and modern and the house was very clean.
The cabin was beautiful with nice finishes. Neighborhood was close to the parkway, Dollywood, and The Island. Only complaints were no window coverings on the master shower. It was never used due to zero privacy and construction next door. Indoor pool was too cold for the kids to play in. Lastly, no closet space to hang clothes. Overall, we loved our stay, the cabin itself, and would return.
