Nestled among amazing restaurants, cafés and bi weekly street markets, this apartment has everything you could possibly need and is full of original character as well as all the modern conveniences and furniture! Charming and light filled, the apartment can accommodate 1-5 people, 2 on the 160x200 cm (queen) bed and 2 on the sofa bed (double) and lastly one person on a fold-out bed (suitable for smaller adults or children). You will have your own modern kitchen and bath room as well as a large living room, dining room and master bedroom.
On the 1st and 2nd floor, in the typical Bernese apartment style, the kitchen and bathroom is separated from the bedroom and living room and is accessed by walking across the landing through the house's spiral stairwell. Although, this staircase is used by all four apartments in the building, running into anybody between 9:00 p.m. and 8:00 am is very rare. Many guests love this unique aspect as it allows for two separate living spaces, one side for quiet time and one side for early risers or conversations.
A scant 10 minute walk under the romantic arcades brings you to/from the train station and mere seconds away from all the main tram and bus lines.
The Bern Visitor Tax is NOT INCLUDED in your booking fees. Collected in Cash upon arrival 5.30 CHF/per person over 16 years/night (reduced rate of 1.50 for age 6-16 and free for under 6 years) Instructions and Benefits: From your very first overnight stay in our accommodation, you will receive a Bern Ticket for your whole stay, which lets you travel for free on public transport in zones 100/101 operated by the LIBERO Association. It also includes the famous Gurten funicular, the funicular Marzilibahn, and the elevator to the Cathedral Platform, as well as travel to and from Bern Airport. On your day of arrival, your reservation confirmation can be used as a transfer ticket from the station or the airport of Bern to your accommodation. The Bern Visitor Tax is not included in your booking fees so when you arrive we will issue your Bern Visitor Cards and collect the city tax in cash anytime during your stay.

Excellent location. Easy to get to the rail station and shopping as well as the sights of Bern. The hosts were very welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. When we are back in Bern we will definitely be staying there again.
Bern is a beautiful place and this apartment, in the heart of the old town, is the place to stay. Owners care about you having a pleasant stay and attend to the details to make it so.
The layout is unusual but as described, most everything you need except maybe a microwave. We enjoyed the bells, the street market, being within easy walking distance of the old city and the station. The free tram and bus pass a bonus. Warm welcome appreciated. Bern a delightful city but expensive as is all of Switzerland of course
